Two Heads Creek - Title Sequence
-About
For the Australian–British horror comedy Two Heads Creek, I brought on to craft the opening title sequence — something designed to get the audience ready for the ride ahead. The movie mixes dark humour with small-town horror, so the titles needed to lean into that same energy: a bit unsettling, a bit ridiculous, and very unapologetically Aussie.
I handled the storyboarding, design, illustration and animation, blending 2D hand-drawn elements with motion design. We kept the style loose and graphic, using red linework and textured shading to give everything a gritty, comic-book look. A lot of the design choices were lifted straight from moments in the film, like the meat grinder and the boomerang made out of nails, so the sequence feels properly tied into the world of the story.
The final titles don’t just hint at the tone - they set the stage. It’s a quick, punchy intro that prepares the audience for the film’s bloody, offbeat sense of humour and its very particular brand of rural Australian chaos.
