-about
Rules for Riders was a campaign from the Queensland government to explain the rules for personal mobility devices like e-scooters. The campaign highlights key changes and common mistakes to help riders stay legal and safe, focusing on rules and penalties for personal mobility devices in Queensland. These rules cover aspects like registration, speed limits, giving way, and using bicycle lanes, with penalties for non-compliance.
My role was to design an array of characters of various ages and transport devices ranging from e-scooters to skateboards to bikes. We wanted to keep the character style clean and simple with small flourishes like shoes, hairstyles and outfits. It was essential that these character were easily riggable to allow for a variety of designs. Thus allowing us to interchange heads, outfits and mobility devices easily.
